Our story

From a young age, Rocco Papa was immersed in the world of trowels and mortar, learning the craft of masonry from his father. He inherited his father's dedication and skill, and with a modern approach and strong work ethic, he transformed the family's modest masonry business into a thriving construction company known for its quality and reliability. He married Roseann, or Rosie as family and friends affectionately call her, whose own father is a respected master mason. Together, they navigated the challenges and triumphs of the construction industry, building not just structures, but a solid foundation for their growing family. Rosie, with her practical mind and understanding of the business, was an invaluable partner, both at home and at work.

As Rocco’s business grew, so did his family. The couple was blessed with four children, filling their lives with joy and adding a new dimension to their ambition. However, the demanding hours that came with managing a successful construction company began to weigh on Rocco. He yearned for more time with his children, to be present for their childhood milestones, and to share in the everyday moments that he often missed. One evening, Rosie, sensing his weariness and longing, suggested a bold idea: transitioning the construction business into a mason yard. This new venture would allow them to control their hours and work together, creating a better balance between their professional aspirations and their family life. Rocco, initially hesitant to leave the world he had worked so hard to build, eventually embraced the idea. He recognized the wisdom in Rosie’s vision and realized that the most valuable thing he could construct was a strong and present family. Together, they embarked on this new chapter, building their mason yard with their knowledge of what contractors and homeowners want and need. When it came time to name their new business, Rocco knew exactly what it should be. "Rosie's," he declared, a tribute to the woman who had not only inspired this change but had also given him the most precious and irreplaceable gift: his family.
